As one of the area’s leading holiday cottage agencies, we wish to touch on the importance of one our latest endeavours.
In September of this year we commissioned a locally based filming and media practitioner. Strong links already forged with this up and coming company made Home from Home’s decision to embark on this journey, that much easier.
Little time was spent coming up with a brief which will see Home from Home and Mighty sky produce a number of high quality and awe inspiring pieces, illustrating why the Gower Peninsula was awarded Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Mighty Sky offered us the chance to capture the landscapes of Gower in this unique fashion using drone flight camera technology, offering us the chance to film and capture the highest quality images possible.
Home from Home is passionate about the area we live in, its ever changing landscape and its ease to please. This project has been instigated to not only remind the natives to this land but also outsiders looking in that Swansea, Mumbles and Gower is here and is to be enjoyed by all.
Some may wish to keep all its hidden gems a secret, for no one to enjoy. Here at Home from Home we firmly believe that Gower and its surroundings hold a piece of magic for everyone, somewhere for laughter, enjoyment, play, solitude, relaxing, stimulus, thought and romance.
All we ask from the viewers of the on-going episodes is to think of the possibilities of your loved ones, relatives, friends, interacting with the landscape. Dipping your toes into the tide at Langland Bay, hearing the wind blow through the trees at Clyne Park, taking in the view from King Arthur’s stone, or indulging yourself in the words of Dylan Thomas throughout Swansea and West Wales.
