The Women’s Institute was formed in 1915 in rural communities to encourage women to become more involved in producing food during the First World War.
The WI has gone from strength to strength and is now the largest voluntary women’s organisation in the UK. This exhibition explores the local stores of the WI movement in Swansea, from campaigning and craft to friendship and fun.
