At 1940s Swansea Bay museum, Crymlyn Burrows

Spring Bank Holiday Weekend 23-25th May 2015

10am to 5pm

Stories of Welsh people talking in the American Civil War come alive in Swansea this Bank Holiday weekend.

Members of the Confederate and Union Re-Enactment Society have set up an American Civil War camp at 1940s Swansea Bay, the themed museum near Fabian Way Swansea. The living history enthusiasts are there on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, to tell the story of the many Welsh people who had settled in America in the 1860s and became part of the tragic conflict over 150 years ago this year.

The event features authentic costumes and artefacts from the period, including musket firing displays. Admission charge applies. Sat Nav SA1 8PT
