BBC Wales and Swansea Council will bring a feast of live music to Singleton Park on Saturday September 11.
The popular family occasion will welcome and encourage crowds to bring picnics and flags, to sing-a-long and to enjoy the music and fireworks.
World class conductor Grant Llewellyn will conduct the BBC National Orchestra of Wales on the night and an exciting line-up of other artists and presenters is due to be announced over the next few weeks.
Mr Llewelyn said: "I thoroughly enjoy playing my part in the festival and in sharing the special atmosphere that Proms in the Park create.
"Every year builds on the success of the previous and I'm sure this year in Swansea will not be an exception."
Iwan Davies, Swansea Council's Head of Culture and Tourism, said: "This will be the ninth time that the BBC Proms has returned to Singleton Park and it's one of the headline attractions of the Swansea Bay Summer Festival.
"Swansea Council has a strong track record in working with the BBC to stage this event and we're delighted to see it return once again this year."
