Swansea University Launches Year Round Day Meeting FacilityPresenting its new year round day meeting centre at Sketty Hall. Sketty Hall, Swansea The Georgian Mansion located in the grounds of Singleton Park, is only a short walk from the Swansea University campus and provides a unique venue for conferences, meetings, functions, celebration dinners and weddings. Meeting space comprises eight conference rooms, the largest holding up to 75 delegates with the Patti Suite for theatre style meetings up to 150. The restaurant has a banquet capacity of 100, and provides a fine dining experience for delegates and guests, whatever the occasion. Sketty Hall also holds a license for civil wedding ceremonies. A short walk away is the main campus set in the most stunning of locations overlooking Swansea Bay. There are over 130 meeting rooms, accommodation for 1200, all located on a flat compact campus with the University Sports Village and Wales National Pool just five minutes away. The partnership between Conference Services at Swansea University and Sketty Hall, the day meeting and function centre run by Gower College, was launched at an informal presentation and lunch on the 8th October. Attended by over 40 staff from the two organizations with speeches by Vice Chancellor Richard Davies and the new Principal of Gower College Swansea, Nick Bennett. Peter Belcher, Head of Conference Services commented: 'Being able to offer space in Sketty Hall means Conference Services can offer year round availability for meetings of up to 150 delegates, Monday to Friday.
