Call of the Wild were delighted to be named by judges as the winner of the Business Tourism Award.

This award seeks to promote the significant contribution made to the tourism industry in Wales by the business tourism sector. The judges were looking to recognise an operator that caters for and provides packages or specific services to either the corporate or association market. This was for companies who attract national and international conferences and meetings, organise exhibitions or arrange corporate events such as incentives, team building, product launches or hospitality.

Almost 400 applications were received and 53 organisations made it to the final competing for 16 awards which were up for grabs. The winners were announced by TV presenter, Sarra Elgan. The awards are about showcasing the very best that Wales has to offer and showing what can be achieved through hard work, ingenuity and commitment.

This tops off a remarkable year for Call of the Wild having already won 4 prestigious awards in 2010: Leading Wales Awards 2010, Smarta.com's inaugural 'Smarta 100' award, the Welsh Small Business of the Year and the National Team Building Company of the Year.

Call of the Wild was set up in 1998 by three old school friends from Neath, who gave up their professional careers and returned to their hometown to pursue their dream of owning and running a company with a difference. They are committed to ensuring that clients are introduced to the wonderful local environment with a view to enhancing their learning, appreciation and enjoyment of the unique countryside within Neath, Gower and the Brecon Beacons National Park.
