Hotel checks in with highest honour at inspection

Bosses at a hotel in South West Wales have good reason to crack open the bubbly after scooping a top award.
The Aberavon Beach Hotel was awarded accommodation firm Best Western's highest honour, the International Hotel Excellence Award. It is the only Best Western Hotel in Wales — and one of only 16 throughout the UK — to have gained the accolade.
Judges awarded the prize for the hotel's cleanliness, quality of fixtures and fittings, and service.
General Manager, Stuart McManus said: "Achieving this award is so important for the hotel and for Wales, as we are the first hotel in Wales to achieve this special recognition," he added. I hope winning this will highlight Port Talbot again and show that as a business we are constantly improving, and the success we have with the awards is through hard work and determination."
The prize comes a year after the Aberavon Beach won Best Western's Hotel Of The Year.
