A spectacular living history event at Margam Park took off in ways organisers could not have anticipated.

Fortress Wales
Dozens of re-enactment groups were on show at the fifth annual Fortress Wales weekend.
Organiser Buck Day said: "We were very pleased with the turn-out but the high winds were a bit of a problem.
"We were losing tents on Sunday and the wind was almost strong enough to knock you over when we did our civil war re-enactment yesterday.
"But we are very grateful for the people who supported us and we will almost certainly be back next year."
Mr Day said the number of re-enactment groups was slightly lower than expected. "A lot of them come from outside Wales and with fuel and transport costs mounting up it has had an effect," he added. "We were due to have 41 and we ended up with 35, which was not too bad considering."
Fortress Wales also raised money for the Help For Heroes charity.
