Established in 2005 by director Richard Godfrey, A Space in the City has grown rapidly since its inception and now has an annual turnover of over £1.4 million.

The company which has over 140 beds across its portfolio aims to expand its presence across south Wales as the company witnesses increasing demand for its services.

Director of A Space in the City, Richard Godfrey, launched the business to offer an alternative form of luxury accommodation to both the corporate and leisure markets across the UK.

On marking the company's 6th anniversary, Mr. Godfrey commented: "We are delighted to be celebrating our 6th anniversary by announcing our expansion plans. The company has grown significantly since I first launched as a sole trader and we now employ a team of 19 across Swansea and Cardiff."

Having been named one of the fastest growing companies in Wales last year the company aims to offer its guests a 'home away from home' experience complete with the level of service you would find in a five star hotel.

Continued Richard: "When I first launched A Space in the City, serviced apartments were fast becoming a growing trend across the rest of the UK. However, I spotted a niche in the Welsh market place and we have managed to cement our position in Wales' major cities, offering a unique service which both Swansea and Cardiff were in desperate need of.

"Over recent months we have won a significant number of new contract wins in Swansea and have expanded our portfolio of apartments by 80%. I am looking forward to continuing to build on this momentum, furthering developing the brand both here in Swansea and in Cardiff.

We are looking forward to further developing the brand whilst continuing to offer our guests a service which is second to none."
