Gower Sunday Explorer - your green way to travel to the Gower Coast Path any day of the week

Gower Explorer
Following a very successful first season in 2011, this year's buses will run for a longer period and include a new route from Swansea through to Rhossili via the north Gower coast.
Both south and north Gower routes will be running at a two hourly frequency; and a new feature of this year's service is the opportunity to stop off for two or four hours, enjoy a meal or drink; or visit an attraction and tour the whole peninsula! Four Gower hospitality businesses and three attraction operators have teamed up with us to offer discounts to bus passengers.
The buses will again be operated by First Cymru and General Manager, Kevin Hart said:
'We are delighted to be associated with this project for the second summer and are committed to providing services of quality to meet the aspirations of both residents and visitors.'
Commenting on the improved service for north Gower this year, Martin Davies of the Britannia Inn in Llanmadoc said:
'It is great news for Llanmadoc that visitors will be able to come and enjoy this beautiful corner of Gower and we look forward to welcoming them'. Martin runs one of the businesses offering discounts to bus travellers.
Roy Church of Gower Heritage Centre said 'he is looking forward to a second successful year of Sunday Explorer and expects it will encourage more visitors to this part of Gower and in particular to access the coastal path for Three Cliffs Bay'. The Gower Heritage Centre also offers discounts to bus passengers.
John Davies, Project Officer for sustainable transport partnership BayTrans summed up 'it is so pleasing that the first year was so successful and I am delighted to be able to provide much greater value this year by extending the season of operation and serving more of Gower directly to and from Swansea'.
