Prince and Princesses Day at Oystermouth Castle
29 August - see more

In August 2022 we had a huge summer of live sport in Swansea, as we welcomed thousands of athletes and spectators to the city for the inaugural Para Sport Festival, Volvo 2022 World Triathlon Para Series Swansea and IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea.

From 1 – 7 we had the week long Para Sport Festival, featuring amazing GO TRI Take Part events giving the opportunity to get involved, as well as incredible Spectate events offering the chance to see top level paratriathletes in action.

On Saturday 6th August, some of the world’s best paratriathletes descended on Swansea and competed for gold across the city in the first ever Volvo 2022 World Triathlon Para Series Swansea.

And the week finished with a flourish on Sunday 7 August with the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Swansea, where thousands of competitors including Alistair Brownlee took on the brand new Swansea course, showing off our incredible City, Bay and Gower. From professionals competing to qualify for major events, to everyday competitors challenging themselves to complete this incredible endurance race, they were cheered on by thousands of spectators, family and friends.

Congratulations to everyone who took part across the week!
