More Poetry Is Needed 0

C 11th February 2015

We don’t normally do this type of blog post, but what we’re about to share filled us all on the team with a sense of delight on Monday morning.

On checking our inboxes (after the customary cuppa of course), two people had really taken our request to share their Swansea Bay Moments to heart. They had taken the time to write and send us a poem each, so naturally they were shared around the rest of team – and now we’d love to share them with you.

Thank you so much to you both, what a great start to the week!

Come Fall In Love With Swansea Bay

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall,
Swansea Bay caters for all!
Relax with waterfront drinks to sip,
After taking a scenic boat trip;
There’s Dylan Thomas Center and place of birth,
Or be a board renter and hit Gower surf.

Tour the Peninsular of Gower
With its world ranked beach,
Eat atop Meridian Tower,
All in easy reach.

Museums, waterfalls and sports galore,
And Neath Valley and Canal to explore.

There’s so much to do on any day,
So come fall in love with Swansea Bay.

The reply email address for this one returned an error, so if you wrote this – please get in touch again! We’d love to credit you for these beautiful words.

The Colourful Steps To Shore

This plentiful hill sits high over the roof tiles of city life, this pleasant hill of plentiful sight of city life, old and colourful tiles of old buildings filled with history of every shape and colour to mind!

These houses and buildings of old are simply steps to the moon crescent shaped bay waiting below, whilst looking out over fog-blanket-bay a city alive, with a flickering light at the end of moon light bay calling to all on high seas!

Swansea awaits safe home tonight to this city full of life protected by fog-blanket-bay these echoed streets with flickering lights dimmed from the fog of a city alive.

The sounds of echoed bay leads the way to the shore of Swansea city by the sea where dreams become rea lity, Swansea awaits for the lost ship looking for a bay where most will remain only a few dare, fog blanket bay, to leave this city that is loud as ships bells in the night. Onward journey to new cities bright as Swansea dims far from sight.
