Half Term Breaks in Swansea Bay

C 18th October 2016

October Half Term is on the horizon, and there are plenty of reasons to plan an Autumn break in Swansea Bay. From outdoor adventures to creative and musical events; whether your family are looking for an adrenalin rush or just want to chill out and get all arts and crafty, Swansea Bay is the place to stay and play.

Top 5 Things to do this Autumn

1  – Try your hand at Bushcraft
Learn how to prepare for a woodland adventure, build shelters, create fire without matches, find food and water, cook over an open fire and have a whole heap of fun too! Get to grips with your inner Bear Grylls! More

2  – Make a splash at the LC
Summer may be over but your water babies will love the LC.  Featuring an exciting network of pools, rides and slides the LC Waterpark is home to the much loved wave pool and famous Masterblaster – a roller coaster style slide that blasts riders on a rubber ring uphill on jetted water and then lets gravity do the rest! What’s not to like? More

3 – Get on your bike!
Gear up and grab your bike. Swansea Bay has plenty of family friendly free-from-traffic cycle routes and is part of the Celtic Trail and National Cycle Network. Take it easy with a cycle along the Prom, and if you’re more of an adrenaline junkie – head for the hills! More

4 – Get Creative at the Newly Refurbished Glynn Vivian
Swansea’s iconic art gallery has re-opened following extensive refurbishments.  With exciting new collections and exhibitions – don’t miss the Royal Collection’s Leonardo da Vinci drawings – it’s a must see this season if you’re in Swansea Bay. More…

5 – Enjoy some of the UK’s finest beaches
Gower is home to some of the best beaches the UK has to offer. Perfect for crisp, autumn walks, sand castle building, beach volleyball or football.  The views alone will take your breath away – so don’t forget the camera! More…
