Swansea Bay Top 5 Places to Propose

C 20th March 2019

Swansea Bay is not only the perfect place for a picnic, some of these world class vistas also provide a pretty special backdrop for that all-important moment. With it being National Proposal Day today here’s a roundup of our top five spots to pop the question.

1. Worms Head/Rhossili

Sunset especially – there’s rumours it’s amongst the top ten most photographed sunsets in the world. Imagine the glimmer of the ring in that light..

2. Three Cliffs Bay

Recently voted the UK’s number one spot for a picnic; the dramatic drops and peaks of Three Cliff’s and nearby Pennard could quite easily lend themselves to the climatic scene of a rousing period romance. What better place to woo?

3. Clyne Gardens

A Japanese kissing bridge, a charming wooden Italian bridge, a fairy-tale tower, the bluebell wood and award winning rhododendrons and azaleas with Swansea Bay below you.

4. Swansea Bay

Is there a better sand to sweep someone from their feet from than the five mile stretch of Swansea Bay? Plenty of space to get creative too – we’re thinking of a huge ‘Will you marry me’ written in the sand..

5.  Penllergare Valley Woods

Tap into a bit of Victorian Romanticism in Valley Wood.  John Dillwyn Llewellyn aimed to marry the natural beauty of the area with carefully planned period landscaping. Ancient trees, secret spots, lakes and of course the famous waterfall make this a proposal day paradise.
