We’re making lots of music in Swansea Bay over the next few weeks, check out some of these fantastic events!

 

1. Ukulele Festival of Wales: 28th – 30th June, Gower Heritage Centre

Meet performers from the UK and beyond. Enjoy open mic sessions and jam along to their songbook and take part in workshops, with a bar, BBQ and camping available too. Book tickets here.

 

 

 

Calon Lan

  1. Calon Lan the Musical: 28th June – 6th July, Swansea Grand Theatre

Literally translated as Pure Heart, ‘Calon Lân’ tells the epic and remarkable true story of Evan Roberts, a 26 year-old miner from Swansea. This is a tale of passion and love, family and jealousy, sacrifice and pride. Book tickets here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Stereophonics: 13th July, Singleton Park

The stadium rockers will perform in their South Wales homeland to celebrate 20 years since the career milestone show in Swansea at Morfa Stadium to 50,000 people and the release of ‘Performance and Cocktails’. Tickets are sold out!

  1. Taliesin Live Dance Days: 13th – 14th July, various venues

This whole weekend brings together performers from across the UK and beyond, dancing alongside Swansea community dance groups. From circus to street, with world class contemporary dance – an opportunity to try something new: learn a funky routine to live music, whilst creating wraps and ripples, waves and breaks in classic maypole moves.   1. Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra: 27th July, Singleton Park

Pete Tong & the Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, will bring a brand new Ibiza Classics show to the beautiful surroundings of Singleton Park. Book tickets here.

  1. Jess Glynne: 28th July, Singleton Park

Pop sensation Jess Glynne, who is currently on a world tour to promote her chart-topping second album, will be playing to thousands of fans at Swansea’s Singleton Park. Having recently supported the Spice Girls on their 2019 comeback tour and holding the record for most number one singles by a British female solo artist – this is sure to be a top gig!
