Watch Our Latest Video

Swansea Bay is the perfect place to chill out on these warm Autumn days and cosy, cooler evenings. Enjoy our new video and be inspired to book your Swansea Bay short break.

Make the most of the autumn sunshine…

…and take in those golden views from the Gower Coast Path. Take a medieval detour to explore a castle or one of the ancient sites in our legendary landscape. Try stand up paddleboarding, surfing or even coasteering; the nights may be starting to draw in, but the water’s still lovely and warm after our hot summer!

Bit drizzly? No need to grizzle…

…there’s plenty to do indoors. Discover the inside story on Swansea at Swansea Museum as we celebrate our 50th year as a city! Just across Museum Green is the National Waterfront Museum – welcome to a high tech journey through Wales’ industrial and maritime heritage. Or have a Dylan day exploring the unique ‘Love the Words’ Exhibition at the Dylan Thomas Centre and then step back in time at his birthplace and childhood home in the Uplands. Follow the clues to the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery to understand how Dylan and his cultural contemporaries, like Alfred Janes, interpreted their art in Swansea by its ‘long and splendid curving shore’.

Then it’s time to kick back and relax…

…at one of our theatres or try some local brews while listening to some live music in one of the pubs or music venues in the city centre.  Check out our events listings for local gigs, comedy, live theatre or screenings.

BBC Proms in the Park, one of Wales’ most loved music and family events, also returns to Singleton Park Swansea on Saturday 14 September.  ABC, Andrei Kymach, Sophie Evans, and Xhosa Cole will join the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales, conducted by Robert Ames, on stage, in a show that will transport the audience into outer space with music to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.

Tie it all together with a snug B&B or spoil yourself with a luxurious hotel, then find your perfect foodie heaven and that’s your September short break sorted.
