Here are our Top 5 to do this half term (avoiding those pesky ghouls!)..

1. Swim, Climb, Play

Head to the LC, Wales’ largest indoor waterpark! Enjoy an exciting network of pools, rides and slides including the famous Masterblaster – a roller coaster style slide that blasts riders on a rubber ring uphill on jetted water and then lets gravity do the rest!

Then, try out the 30ft climbing wall, with over 20 different routes for every level, or head to the interactive play area – a 4 tier play tower with an  aquatic maze of slides, bridges and ball pits. Price: Family ticket for two adults and two children costs £25

2. Head to Plantasia

for a tropical adventure! Discover an Egyptian Tortoise, Meerkats, Reticulated Pythons, a Cayman Crocodile, piranhas and lots of creepy crawlies…! Price: £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £21 for families.

3. Step back in time..

and visit the oldest and newest museums in Wales – Swansea Museum and the National Waterfront Museum! Swansea Museum is home to treasures from Swansea, across Wales and the rest of the world. The collections include an Egyptian Mummy, some of the world’s earliest photographs and items from wartime Swansea, in an impressive Edwardian colonnaded building.

In contrast, head to the National Waterfront Museum to discover Wales’ maritime and industrial heritage over the past 300 years through interactive technology with hundreds of cutting-edge displays to explore.

Entry to both museums is free.

4. Enjoy a cultural experience in Swansea.

Head to the Dylan Thomas Centre to see the ‘Love the Words’ exhibition and discover more about the famous poet. Join in with Dylan’s birthday events in October with creative writing, make a mini comic, puppets, games, reading corner, crafts and dressing up costumes, all inspired by Dylan Thomas. Entry is free.

5. Discover the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery

presenting historical, modern and contemporary art exhibitions, talks, lectures and conferences, live music, performance and events in the heart of Swansea’s bustling artistic quarter. Entry is free.

So, as you can see, we got lots of activities and events to keep the entertained this half term, all you have to do now is find your perfect place to stay. In Swansea Bay, Mumbles and Gower, we have cosy rural retreats, coastal escapes, city hotels and luxury apartments…and we are sure you’ll find somewhere that ticks all the boxes for you and your family!
