Home schooling has stopped for the time being and the school holidays have started – but don’t panic, there are plenty of fun activities taking place for the whole family to enjoy over the next 6 weeks – come rain or shine!

Will you be taking part in this year’s (totally digital!) Summer Reading Challenge? Sign up online to get rewards, play games and earn badges as you discover some great new books to read this summer.
And that’s not all – the team at Swansea Libraries will be popping on their silliest, wackiest hats to bring you an action packed summer of online events including storytime, writing tips, facts and activity challenges!
If the sun is shining, where better to head than to one of Swansea’s gorgeous beaches – and there are lots to choose from – nice safe sandy ones, interesting rocky ones and beaches with breath-taking views and acres of space.

The Centre’s summer holiday activities will be themed around Dylan Thomas’ radio broadcast, ‘Holiday Memory’, which describes holidaying at home and enjoying a sunny Bank Holiday at the beach.
Keep an eye out for writing prompts, word searches and games, and summer themed creative workshops!

The West Glamorgan Archive Service have put together a range of activities for you to enjoy over the holidays, including family history hints and tips, interesting items from their Collection, snippets from films and even a quiz!
There are over 50 beautiful parks and gardens in Swansea, many of which are on our doorstep – and there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy them.
Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll, get your steps in while walking the dog, make your own obstacle course, practice or learn a new skill, or enjoy some craft time, the Sport & Health team have lots of fun ideas for outdoor activities!
