It wouldn’t be a summer in Swansea without a little rain now would it…so with that in mind, we’ve got some top tips for you to do on a rainy day!

Build an indoor obstacle course

We’ve seen some great videos and ideas from the Sport & Health team on outdoor courses, but now the weather isn’t so great, there’s still lots of fun to be had indoors. What things can you find around the house to climb over, roll under and crawl along? Time yourself or take turns with the family to see who is the fastest!

Get creative with the Glynn Vivian and their ‘Six weeks of summer’ art activities for families, where they’ll be sharing an exciting selection of creative art and craft activities for you to make at home. Each week the learning team at the Glynn Vivian will be sharing a new activity for you to complete, or you can download the whole pack here!

Who doesn’t love being silly? Have you seen this year’s summer reading challenge with Swansea Libraries? It’s all about the #SillySquad and you can join in and be silly too. With so many fun activities from online games, activity sheets, story time, free downloads and even an online book finder that will help you find your next read, this is the perfect rainy day activity to pass some time.
