Getting lost in a good book is one of life’s greatest ways to relax and staff at Brynhyfryd, Llansamlet, Penlan, Pennard and Sketty as well as at Swansea Central, Gorseinon, Morriston and Oystermouth have enjoyed welcoming back visitors to browse the library shelves looking for that perfect book.
If you’d rather use The Phone and Pick Up service continues but has to be booked in advance service just give your preferred library a call as this service will have to be booked in advance. Either way, you can borrow up to 10 books for 3 weeks.
And don’t forget that there are also computers and print materials that you can use; e-books, e-magazines and e-audiobooks that you can download for free too.
So grab your library card and don’t worry if you can’t find it as you can have another one – they’re free 🙂 and head to your local library and rediscover the enjoyment of reading.
Please remember to act responsibly when visiting the libraries. You will need to wear a mask and keep 2 meters apart from other visitors, sanitising your hands frequently. All returned books are quarantined for 72 hours before being put back into circulation.
Walking is great for your physical and mental health and there are so many beautiful routes around Swansea to enjoy.

The Glynn Vivian is home to some of Wales’ finest visual art collection including the original bequest of Richard Glynn Vivian and admired international collection of Swansea China?
There’s 20th century collections of modern paintings and ceramics by Welsh artists too such as Ceri Richards, Gwen John and Will Evans to name just a few.
The reopening of the Gallery will introduce you to a season of exciting, new exhibitions in partnership with Swansea Pride, including pioneering film maker Charles Atlas and a British Museum touring exhibition, Pushing paper, contemporary drawing from 1970 to now, featuring works by Tracey Emin, Grayson Perry and Anish Kapoor.
