Sunday 15 Sep

St. David’s Day will be celebrated in Swansea a little differently this year. Although we can’t host the usual Croeso Event in the city centre, we’ll be providing you with details on how you can make a delicious three course meal in the comfort of your own kitchen!

We have teamed up with three top chefs from three local restaurants who’ll be demonstrating how to make the perfect starter, main course and dessert so you can prepare your own St David’s Day Dinner #AtHome.

So, what’s on the menu…

The scrumptious starter will be prepared by Emilio Fragiacomo from Langland’s Brasserie.

The mouth-watering main course will be made by Michelin Star chef Hywel Griffith from the Beach House Restaurant, Oxwich Bay.

Finally the delicious dessert will be presented by Calum Pickard, Head Chef of The Secret Beach Bar & Kitchen.

Feeling inspired? Ready to be a St David’s Day masterchef? Here’s how:

  1. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter – we’ll be releasing the ingredients list in the week before St David’s Day.
  2. Purchase your fresh Welsh ingredients.
  3. Watch our 3 professional chefs demonstrate each dish – videos will be available on St David’s Day on Facebook and Twitter, and also on enjoyswanseabay.com.
  4. Prepare your own delicious St David’s Day Dinner – Enjoy!

Daffodil, leek and Welsh flag fun

We love celebrating St David’s Day and have some fun activities that you can do and make #AtHome in readiness for the day.  You could make a daffodil or leek that you could wear on the day, colour in the big red dragon on our national flag and then display in your window, and we’ve also provided a fun word search too – how many words can you find?

Don’t forget to share what you make with us as we’d love to see it!

Happy St David’s Day!
