Everyone says dads are hard to buy for – not anymore!

What better way to spend Father’s Day than enjoying some quality time together? Here are some ideas to help plan the perfect Father’s Day in Swansea Bay, Mumbles and Gower…

Get-up-and go Dad

If your dad loves watersports – why not book a surfing lesson with the Welsh Surfing Federation Surfing School? Or check out Wales’ first ever indoor surf simulator at the LC! It’s harder than it looks!

Why not try a new activity like stand up paddle boarding or kayaking? Oxwich Watersports offer a range of different watersports or perhaps go SUP’ing with The SUP Hut.

For something slightly slower paced, head down to the Wales National Pool for a swim. Have a race to see who the fastest swimmer is… but maybe you should let dad win this once, it is Father’s Day after all!

Golf mad Dad

Treat dad to a few rounds of golf at Clyne Golf Club and enjoy stunning 360˚ views across Swansea to the east and Gower’s Cefn Bryn to the west, or head to the only PGA Championship status golf course in Swansea – Fairwood Park Golf Club!

Adrenaline Junkie Dad

Swansea Bay has lots to offer dads that love to live life on the edge! Go zip wiring with Go Ape or climbing with Gower Adventures or Adventure Britain. Don’t look down!

Take it in your stride, Dad

A father’s day stroll (or hike!) may just be the perfect plan! Explore the 39 mile long Wales Coast Path or discover Worm’s Head and enjoy spectacular views over the award winning Rhossili Bay.

My Dad, the explorer

Treat dad to a boat trip around the beautiful Gower Coast with Gower Coast Adventures and learn all about the local marine wildlife and fascinating local history – from prehistoric bone caves to tales of smugglers!

Learn how to prepare for adventures, build shelters, create fire without matches and find food and water with Dryad Bushcraft. Book onto a Family Bushcraft Camp where Dad can learn how to use an Axe while the kids build a hoop shelter, and Mum can take a well-earned break. Sound good?

Don’t panic about last minute shopping, looking for that perfect book/pair of socks/novelty beer – spend some quality time with dad this Father’s Day and create fun memories that will last a lifetime!
