Swansea University is excited to announce the return of the Swansea Science Festival, with the main event taking place on the 26th and 27th of October, from 10am to 4pm, at the National Waterfront Museum. This year’s festival will be hosted at the museum, complemented by show-stopping performances at the Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea.
The festival kicks off with an exciting pre-weekend feature at the Taliesin on Friday, 25th October, with The Magical Mr. West and his delightful show, Crafty Fools. The festivities will conclude with the grand finale on Monday, 28th October, when popular TV presenter Andy Day will entertain audiences with his thrilling performance, Andy’s Dino Rap. Tickets are in high demand, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment!
Throughout the weekend, enjoy FREE exhibitions showcasing ground-breaking research at Swansea University. No booking is required—just drop in to explore hydrogen energy, meet robotic pets, uncover the secrets of ancient Egyptian mummification, and even learn how to love a maggot!
Weekend highlights include a science rap workshop with presenter Jon Chase, insightful talks with TikTok star Big Manny, renowned explorer Ray Mears, and wildlife TV presenter Megan McCubbin.
In addition to the free exhibitions, many hands-on workshops and inspiring talks are available for booking. Dive into the mysteries of the ocean, discover the wonders of electricity, and hear the stories of people shaping the future of science. Whether you’re crafting, exploring, or learning, there’s something for everyone! Early booking is strongly recommended, and a 30% discount is available when booking three or more events.
