From special interest literary tours – Dylan Thomas was born in Swansea – to heritage, local history or gorgeous gardens, there are a range of inspirational itineraries, all within an easy drive time from the Port.
A must-see is the captivating coast and countryside of the Gower Peninsula, the first in the UK to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Only 30 minutes from Port and passengers will be in the heart of the countryside enjoying iconic coastal views.

The Port of Swansea is located near the city centre and is able to provide tailormade services to meet the individual requirements of each cruise call.

The port is fully compliant with the ISPS Code and during a cruise call the entire berth is fenced and patrolled by security to meet the current security requirements. Passenger, crew, visitor and baggage screening is also undertaken upon entry into the restricted area.
Whilst the vessel is in port, there’s the opportunity to take on bunkers, water, stores and dispose of waste. The Port is also able to provide facilities for vessels wishing to turnaround.

Cruise passengers can be greeted in Swansea with a ‘Welsh Welcome’ at the quayside, typically including traditional harp music and an opportunity to sample some of our delicious local produce.

Tourist Information Centre staff are on hand to provide visitor information and help with itinerary planning, enabling visitors to make the most of their stay.
There is coach parking at the quayside and shuttle buses can be provided to transport any passengers and crew who are not on organised tours, to and from the city centre.
Departing passengers can also be given a send off as they embark.
