Nicola Benedetti needs little introduction. Since winning BBC Young Musician in 2004 she has been wowing audiences worldwide, as well as more recently being the face of BBC Music’s Ten Pieces project.

Continuing his exploration of Mahler’s symphonies, Thomas Søndergård presents Symphony No. 1; with its large orchestra and use of German Lied, Mahler’s epic symphony provides the grand finale to the BBC NOW 2015-16 season.
