As a dual-site installation across Swansea Market stalls 53-54 and Swansea’s Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Eavesdropper was created in response to Heather Phillipson’s exhibition Out of the World, a commission in partnership with IWM 1418 Now Legacy Fund. The piece also takes inspiration from Margaret Watts Hughes’ 1887 invention of the ‘Eidophone’, a device designed to visualise the human voice.
The exhibition will launch on Friday 4th October at Glynn Vivian at Night, 5:30pm – 8pm. You can enjoy the exhibition free throughout Swansea Arts Weekend, all part of We Are All Artists.
