Wales, from its majestic mountains to its rugged coastline, is the main inspiration for Gwyn Roberts’ forthcoming solo exhibition in the Attic Gallery.

Gwyn Roberts comes from the Conwy Valley in Snowdonia.  He studied Fine Art at Norwich School of Art, before returning to Wales to do a postgraduate course at Cardiff College of Art.  He taught Art in the Cardiff area for over thirty years.

Since becoming a full time artist, Gwyn Roberts’ work has been in great demand and over the last few years he has had sell out shows in Wales and England.

He has received high praise from both art critics and enthusiastic collectors.  His work has featured in Country Life and a number of mountaineering and art magazines, and on television.

Snowdonia continues to be Gwyn’s primary source of inspiration.  This is no surprise, as he feels a deep hiraeth for these mountains, where his forefathers were farmers and quarry men for generations.

His paintings are bold, impressive, and full of passion and strength.  They capture the true majesty of Snowdonia and Wales’ dramatic coastline.

The exhibition runs from 14 May – 4 June 2016 at Attic Gallery, Pocketts Wharf, Maritime Quarter, Swansea.

Open Tuesday – Friday 10am -5pm and Saturday 10am- 4.30pm.
