One not to be missed – Katherine Jenkins’ special Christmas homecoming concert
With a mixture of special guests, tracks from her new album, Celebration and lashings of Christmas spirit, Katherine told Wales Online exclusively that the festive gig would have a “strong Welsh element” to it.
“I would never leave Wales out,” she said, responding to a few murmurs when her Celebration tour was announced, last week, without a Welsh date.
“I was just planning something big, to come home after visiting many other places while on tour is a wonderful thing,” she added.
“Coming home to do a Christmas concert, I had to find the right sort of venue near to Neath, and it was also about creating a one off too. And Brangwyn Hall is such a lovely concert hall too, a real intimate venue. I spent a lot of time as a youngster singing there.”
For the mum-of one, returning to Neath at Christmas has always been a top priority, she said: “Christmas has always been a time for coming home, that’s the one thing that never changes. I spend so much time during the year here and there.”
