Get ready for a great adventure as Santa’s Time Travelling Adventure lands in Swansea City Centre! Jam-packed with Christmas fun and sparkle, there will be dynamic dance-troupes, family entertainment, walking and mobile processions, choirs, spectacular shows and stages; and not forgetting Santa on his new sleigh!
Santa’s procession has some spectacular moving exhibits, boasting amazing technology and special effects, coupled with choirs, dancers, musicians and world-renowned clowns Tom and Pepe with their elf helpers! Santa’s Time Travelling Adventure is designed to transport onlookers to Christmases past, present and future.
The festive fun starts from 4pm
This year there’s no more standing around waiting for the procession to come past – we’ve got magical entertainment all along the route to keep you warmed up while waiting for Santa!
All the pre-event fun will begin at 4pm with music, dancing and much more around the City Centre and on our eight stages along the route (check out our event map below).
There’s a brand new route for 2018, with the procession starting at Princess Way, onwards to Caer Street and College Street before ending on The Kingsway. This year Santa’s got something a little bit special in store too, as there are also FOUR Show Stopper Stages at St. Mary’s Church, Swansea Castle, and one at each end of the Kingsway.And from 5pm, it’s time for the main event!
Starting at 5pm, Santa and the jam packed procession will makes its way from Princess way to the first Show Stopper Stage – get ready, as he’ll stop here for some live entertainment with dynamic dance troupes, musicians, amazing lights and special effects and much more. All this before the lights in that area get switched on!
That’s right, this year nobody misses the famous Christmas Lights Switch On – the City Centre Christmas lights will be switched on in sections from each show stopper stage!
After the lights around St. Mary’s and Princess Way are switched on, Santa and the procession will continue onto the next three show stopper stages for the same amazing show. No matter where you wait to see Santa this year, you’ll see the same great show and see the lights switched on! With four stages to choose from, all with the same great entertainment, you can wait for Santa at the one that suits you.
It’s sure to be a magical Christmas adventure to remember and don’t forget – this year there’s no waiting to see Santa, no need to follow the procession and no missing anything!
