6:30pm Kick off, St Helens Rugby Ground

Swansea RFC is celebrating its 150th year with a number of special events. A commemorative match has been organised against the Barbarians to conclude the season.

Over the course of the season, the whites have had a gala dinner, a number of junior, inclusive and mixed ability rugby tournaments, a business lunch, golf day and also captured their historic milestone in a celebratory brochure. The whites have also worn a special kit for matches throughout the season which reflects the original colours worn by Swansea RFC in a cardinal red colour.

The celebrations are brought to a conclusion with our long term friends the Barbarians. Swansea were one of the first teams in the world to play the Baa Baas, hosting an annual fixture at St Helens against the invitation side on Easter Monday.

To recognise the history between the teams in Swansea’s anniversary season, the Barbarians will travel to Wales straight after taking on the Rest of the World XV at Twickenham. With Eddie Jones coaching the Baa Baas for this fixture, the side has already been announced to include some world stars within the Barbarians squad.

The match will take place on Wednesday 31st May with an early 6:30pm kick off at the world famous St Helens Ground.

There are a limited amount of tickets available which are expected to sell out quickly given the very special nature of this game.

General queries NOT related to tickets should be directed to whites.srfc@gmail.com
