A Three Day Adventure in Swansea Bay

Day 1

  • Check in for your stay at Hardingsdown Bunkhouse, which offers comfy and affordable accommodation for individuals, families and groups on a working organic farm in the heart of Gower.
  • Spend the day rock climbing and abseiling at the award winning Three Cliffs Bay with the team at Gower Adventures. Spectacular views and fantastic fun. Don’t forget your bottle of water and packed lunch!
  • Take a short 20 minute evening stroll past the Iron Age Hillforts to the Kings Head inn at Llangennith, a 17th century four star inn, where you can enjoy a delicious evening meal (lots of home-made dishes made from fresh Welsh produce to choose from!).

Day 2

  • Check in for your overnight stay at the Oxwich Bay Hotel, a stone’s throw from the picturesque Oxwich Bay.
  • After breakfast, meet at the Watersports hut on Oxwich Bay for a kayaking session with Oxwich Watersports. Bring a pair of trainers and shorts to go on top of your wetsuit. Have fun!
  • Take a walk at Oxwich. You can download the Oxwich Point walk here.
  • Pay a visit to Oxwich Castle, a grand Tudor house, built in courtyard style, which has watched over Oxwich village since Tudor times.
  • Enjoy your evening meal at the Beach House, Oxwich. Set in a beautiful coastal location in Oxwich Bay, the Beach House uses fantastic local produce, including Oxwich Bay seaweed.

Day 3

  • Check in for your overnight night stay at the Worm’s Head Hotel, overlooking the award winning Rhossili Bay (currently voted as the third best beach in the UK – according to Trip Advisor users).
  • Go coasteering with Rip n Rock at Rhossili – a fun-filled day of adrenalin filled adventure in the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
  • Enjoy a short 2 mile circular walk at Rhossili and Worm’s Head, where you can walk right up to the Coastguard Lookout.
  • Enjoy an evening meal at the Kings Head Inn, a 17th century four star inn based in coastal village of Llangennith.  The King’s Head stands opposite the largest church on the Gower peninsula and there is easy access to Llangennith beach, where the sand stretches to Rhossili, nearly four miles away. In the olde worlde character bars, with beams and exposed stone, an impressive variety of food is served, much of it homemade and based on fresh Welsh produce.
