Watersports
What's good for the body is good for the soul and Swansea Bay certainly has it all for those in search of a welcome adrenaline rush or a relaxing break! With the second greatest tidal range in the world and some of the finest surfing beaches in the UK, watersports are a speciality here, whatever your level! ![]() Surfing is particularly good around Gower, and there are several accredited surf schools to choose from. You can catch good waves at Langland and Caswell Bays, just a few minutes drive from Mumbles, and at Llangennith, at the western tip of the Peninsula. ![]() The latter has had accolades from both 'The Guardian' and 'The Observer' for the quality of the waves there. However, if you're thinking of going surfing in Llangennith, please read warning here. New in Swansea: indoor surfing at the LC! Swansea's new amazing leisure complex and waterpark has opened its doors, complete with Britain's first standing surf machine, the wicked BoardRider. So you can be guaranteed to catch a wave at the LC, no matter what the conditions are like out there. But Swansea Bay is not just a surfing mecca, it's also great for sailing, kitesurfing, canoeing, windsurfing, waterskiing, the list goes on! Once you've felt the wind in your face and tasted the salt on your lips, you'll know you've come to the right place for a memorable holiday! del.icio.us
