Put on your best Noddy Holder voice and repeat after us… “It’s Christmaaaasssss!” Waterfront Winterland makes a triumphant return on Friday 17 November, and Father Christmas will be in town on Sunday 19 November at the official Swansea Christmas Parade and Light Switch On (which looks all set to be bigger, better and brighter than ever before)! Don’t worry, the fun and festivities don’t stop there – there will also be a Christmas Market and the opportunity to meet the big man himself at his City Centre Grotto! We ho, ho, hope you will join us!
Marching bands, magical floats, festive film characters, giant inflatables, dancing elves, Father Christmas – it can only be our incredible Christmas Parade! Wrap up warm, clap, cheer, wave, sing and enjoy as Santa makes his way through Swansea City Centre to switch on the Christmas lights on Sunday 19 November.
Open from Friday 17 November to Sunday 7 January, Waterfront Winterland is at the heart of Swansea Bay’s Christmas festivities. Ice skating on the Admiral Ice Rink and Children’s Rink, Santa’s Grotto, delicious food from Alpine dining cabins, a festive family funfair, and the mighty Big Wheel – it’s the perfect place to get in the Christmas spirit and have fun!
The traditional red and green chalets will make a welcome return to Oxford Street in our City Centre from Friday 17 November to Thursday 21 December. Enjoy a delicious selection of festive food, warm up with a glass of mulled wine, and make a start on that Christmas list!
Christmas wishes and festive cheer will be circulating along Portland Street and Castle Square from Saturday 18 November to Thursday 21 December courtesy of Santa’s Grotto! Little ones will be greeted by Santa’s Elves before meeting the main man himself, and all visitors will receive a gift and have their photo taken with Santa – #SantaSelfie anyone?!
