Mumbles Railway Trail

The Mumbles Railway Trail is a lasting tribute to the historic Mumbles Railway, preserving its legacy through a dedicated walking route that traces the original rail line.

Along the 5.5 mile trail, 11 foundry-cast replica station signs mark key locations. Each sign features a QR code that, when scanned with a smartphone, unlocks archive film footage, historical photographs, augmented reality reconstructions of the iconic red tramcars and select stations, as well as commentary and personal memories of the railway.

Additional information boards, posters, and murals provide further insight at key points along the route.

The trail begins at Rutland Street, outside the LC in Swansea, and can be followed on foot all the way to Mumbles Pier
