Did you know?

The name Pontarddulais comes from the Welsh language and is commonly translated as "Bridge over the Dulais", with Dulais meaning "black stream", likely due to its course through coal-rich terrain. The bridge also gave the town its nickname "Y Bont" (which means The Bridge in Welsh).
