We’re excited to announce our new Dylan Thomas Exhibition opened on the 27 October. It’s all thanks to funding of £935,700 from the Heritage Lottery Fund which means we’ve been able to refurbish and expand our exhibition giving you a greater insight into one of Swansea’s leading cultural figures.

You can hear some of the world’s most well-known voices reading lines from famous Dylan Thomas works; the voices of Prince Charles and Richard Burton are among those to feature. Also included are new interactive touch-screen displays that focus on Dylan’s technique, explore the notebooks he wrote in Swansea between the ages of 15 and 19, and cast a light on the circumstances surrounding his death in New York City in 1953.

The HLF grant has also allowed us to put an education and outreach programme in place to help maintain Dylan’s legacy and inspire people of all ages across the city.

The ‘Love The Words’ Exhibition opens daily between 10.00am and 4.30pm.
