Gates open 5.30pm, film screening begins 9.00pm

With the help of Swansea City Council, there will be a special anniversary screening of Wales’ much loved, iconic movie.

Twin Town is 20 years old this year, and to celebrate, Swansea’s only independent cinema Cinema & Co is hosting a party in conjunction with Enjoy Swansea, in the “pretty shitty city’s” Lacrosse Field in Singleton Park. There will be hot-dogs, of course – a shisha bar from Bubble Lounge, licensed bars, live music from King Goon and a big screen that’ll mean 5000 lucky Twin Town fans can watch the film in all its glory! Director & co-writer Kevin Allen will hold a Q&A, and there’ll be lots of surprises in store.

Guests are encouraged to dress ‘naughties’ style – and sporting a 90’s Swans top is highly recommended !

Director & Co-writer, Kevin Allen, said … “it doesn’t seem like I directed Twin Town 20 years ago – in fact, it feels like yesterday. Although a lot has happened since that wonderful film shoot in my home town, Twin Town still remains very close to my heart, and it’s a film I’m immensely proud of. The fan base for the movie has grown incredibly over the years, and having been away for so long, I still can’t believe how popular it is. And I suppose, that’s why it seems only right to have an anniversary screening like this. I’m sure it’ll be a wonderful night – and I’m really looking forward to hooking up with the cast again, many of whom I’ve not seen for many years. it’s also great to see an independent cinema doing so well in Swansea, and I’m sure Cinema & Co, along with the council, will put on a great show.
