A Land Dialogues project

An exhibition and research project, funded by 14-18 NOW, to re-imagine the gallery’s outdoor space as a new green civic arena, featuring works from the Gallery’s Collection, Swansea Museum and objects from the National Waterfront Museum selected by the artist. Thinking Green is part exhibition, part research space, transforming the Atrium into a community design studio, where we can rethink our relationship to the environment as we embark on the redesign of the gallery’s garden.

This project imagines what a garden can be; a sanctuary for wellbeing, a space for creative learning, a haven for biodiversity. It considers the radical aspects of the garden, as a site to grow, model and harvest ideas of social change.

As part of the exhibition, the community will be asked to submit their designs and ideas through drawings, comments, talks and discussions.
