Journeys of Discovery… how to stay close to home AND get away from it all

C 19th March 2019

What do you like to do on holiday?  If taking great big lungfuls of fresh air is on your list then our coast and countryside is already ticking that box.

Our beaches can be big or bijou, but they’re all beautiful.  And you don’t have to take our word for it – our bevy of beaches are award winning, with blue flags and TripAdvisor accolades.  With beaches super for surfing, like laid-back Llangennith and fantastic for family fun, like lovely Langland and cozy Caswell.

If you prefer to move it (move it) rather than just sit and soak up the view, then we have a whole peninsula full of wonder walks to choose from!  Gower really does have the coast with the most and a footpath which hugs clifftop, cove, bay and beach.

Our city breaks also come with a side order of seashore; go heritage hunting in our museums and galleries and sample the waterfront vibe in our cafes and restaurants.

We’ve got a big birthday this year – Swansea’s celebrating 50 years as a city.  It’s a great time to discover this city by the sea!
