It’s LGBT+ History Month, and we’re celebrating by recounting some of the stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, through a series of podcasts and short videos.
In this Change Makers film we explore some of the stories and experiences of people, including members of the LGBT+ community, who have felt compelled to make our community a fairer and more equal place for everyone.
Season 2 Episode 3: Arron Bevan John and Debbie Lane discuss Swansea Pride, the LGBT Cymru Helpline, gay marriage, and how they got involved in activism and the gay rights movement.
Season 2 Episode 4: Sian James takes us on a journey from the miners’ strike in the Neath Valley to the Houses of Parliament. Find out how the LGBT+ community in London helped to change the course of her life and became the inspiration for the film Pride.
Celebrate LGBT+ History Month with the Glynn Vivian.
Bringing together video installation, photography, painting, video mapping and performance, the Glynn Vivian’s 2020 season of exhibitions explored interrelated themes of inclusivity, diversity, gender, language, ideological and political systems and climate change.
The gallery staff will be looking back at the season’s best bits, and you can even take a virtual tour in the comfort of your home!
