BBC NOW Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra

The Guided Bat Walk will start with a small introduction to bats and a demonstration of how to use bat detectors.

We will be using bat detectors to locate and identify any bats in the area. The walk offers an opportunity to learn a bit more about these fantastic and elusive creatures.

The Guided Bat Walk will be led by Evelyn Gruchala – terrestrial ecologist and active bat group member on 27th April, 8pm to 10.30pm. Meeting at the Car Park at Coed Gwilym Park, Pontardawe Rd, Clydach, Swansea SA6 5NS

-This event is suitable for ages 8 years+
-Please bring a torch
-Weather dependent
-Bat sightings cannot be guaranteed as they are a wild species but fingers crossed!
-Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and terrain. Sturdy footwear is essential
-Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult
