At McDonald’s, we care about children’s literacy and hope our UK and Ireland Book Tour gets children excited about reading, and makes a positive difference to their lives. At McDonald’s we believe one book can change everything; it can ignite a life-long love of reading and has the power to foster imagination, unlock creativity and expand knowledge.
McDonald’s have partnered with the National Literacy Trust to strive towards a common goal of getting more books into the hands of children. Since the partnership began in 2013 McDonald’s
have provided over 130 million books to families.
Good to know: To help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by the Happy Readers bus during our 2022 tour, we’ve partnered with Oblong Trees to plant 1,000 trees.
