Situated in a quiet area of the Gower Coast, the property enjoys panoramic sea views that wrap around the property; they have to be seen to be believed. A footpath leads to Broughton Bay and Hillend beach is a short drive or a walk away. The whole coastline is dotted with beautiful beaches and quaint villages to explore.
Llangennith is a small village and has two places to eat out, plus a family friendly pub ten minutes’ walk away. The village also has a surf shop and parish hall that holds regular events and activities for locals and holiday makers, including a gym. Llanmadoc community shop is a couple of miles away where you can sample home-made cakes and have a coffee. Llanmadoc, has a pub and a village hall that hosts regular community events. Further afield, neighbouring villages offer more pubs, cafés to visit. In Penclawdd there is café called Cariad and an Italian inspired ice cream parlour called GG’s as well as pubs and a small supermarket.
Although Llangennith is known as the surfing capital of the Gower, with multiple surf schools operating in the summer months there are many other activities for those looking for an active break. Horse riding, hang-gliding, cycling, windsurfing, sailing, to name but a few
The cottage is a unique conversion with an interior that is originally designed and hand crafted by the owners. A modern, fitted kitchen and open plan living room space enjoys views over the garden towards the sea. It is well equipped with everything you need for your stay, with a light, airy living space that is perfect for dining, having a games night or relaxing in front of the TV. Doors lead into a lovely lawned garden where you can sit out and enjoy the stunning views.
The beautifully presented bathroom is on the ground floor alongside the master bedroom and has a modern wet room style walk-in shower. The master bedroom is perfect for grown-ups with a plush and relaxing feel to it, two comfortable chairs, a TV and wood-burner. On the first floor are two further bedrooms, one has a cosy, bespoke fitted double bed, and the other bedroom has a bunk house vibe with four bespoke fitted bunk beds, suitable for children or adults.
There are many walks from the property. Broughton Bay is a ten minute stroll down the hill. Llanmadoc, is a walk over the hill behind the cottage or along the beach which joins with Cwm Ivy. Cwm Ivy consists of a magical National Trust pine forest that circles a remote beach and estuary, popular with bird watchers and walkers. Cwm Ivy also has a lovely café on pathway to Llanmadoc. Hillend beach, famous for surfing and swimming, is about a mile away, five minutes by car or twenty minutes’ walk where you can find a café serving excellent food and local brewery beers. From here you can walk along the beach to Rhosilli and Worms Head.
