You may have noticed that once again Christmas is just around the corner! And whether you’re planning a Christmas break or a shopping weekend we can help you decide the when and the where. Our Christmas Countdown has all the information you need to ensure you don’t miss a thing and that your Christmas break is everything you need it to be at this busy time of year.

So much shopping, so little time! Christmas is about having fun – and that means everyone, from teeny to ninety! Walk through the gateways into Waterfront Winterland, leave your workaday cares behind and embrace Christmas (go on, give it a nice big hug) and you’ll soon be smiling as you properly get into the festive spirit on the Waterfront. Here’s a few of the things that you can look forward to:

Admiral Ice Rink
Fancy dancing on ice? Then the Admiral ice rink is ready and waiting. But if you’re not quite a figure skater – just come and give it a try – you’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll be gliding around the rink! Ice skating tickets start at £5.50 and this includes skate hire.

Children’s Ice Rink
Especially for little ones, so they can enjoy the ice in safety – and if they need a helping hand – or flipper – then our skating penguins can offer a bit of extra support and self-confidence on the ice!

Santa’s Grotto
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to see Father Christmas! All of Santa’s guests get to meet the Elves first before discussing their Christmas list with the great man himself, receiving a gift and even taking a #SantaSelfie!

Festive Family Fun-Fair
All your favourites are here – including a carousel, helter-skelter, fun-house and of course, the main attraction – the Big Wheel – for some truly breathtaking views across Swansea Bay and the City.

Alpine Dining Cabins
Get into the Christmas spirit with a warming cup of mulled wine and a bag of roasted chestnuts – or spoil yourself with a selection of sweet and savoury treats – it is the season to be merry after all!!

Waterfront Winterland runs from 18th November 2016 – 8th January 2017 (only closed Christmas Day – well, even Santa’s little helpers need the big day off!)

Oh yes it is! Panto season that is! We’ve got our fair share of dames, principal boys and beautiful princesses – including a sensational Sleeping Beauty at our glittering Grand Theatre – but we also have several seasonal musical delights to really ramp up the Christmassy atmosphere, as well as an opportunity to indulge in one of our favourite Dylan Thomas stories. Winter Walks. Bank those fitness steps and prepare for the over indulgence ahead, get Christmas dinner ready by blowing away those Black Friday blues with a bracing seasonal stroll on the gorgeous Gower Peninsula or go for a merry ramble in Rural Swansea.
(All are circular, low level routes, nothing to taxing before Christmas!)

Rhossili Ramble
One of our ‘Walking By Bus’ walks approximately 2 miles in a circular route with views across Rhossili Bay (in the top four of the UK’s Best Beaches (as voted by TripAdvisor) for four years running!) and across to Worm’s Head.

Langland Bay to Caswell Bay
Another one of our ‘Walking By Bus’ routes and part of the Gower Coast Path. This is a circular walk, approximately 2 miles in length – taking in some of our most popular, award-winning beaches.

Lower Lliw Valley Reservoir Circular Walk
Approximately 2 miles along a scenic route around this beautiful reservoir – look out for kingfishers or if you’re lucky you might even see a Red Kite!

We have lots more winter walks here.
