The summer holidays may be over, but it’s still warm enough to enjoy those light autumn evenings with a tasty bite to eat outside…

Here are some top places to dine ‘Al Fresco’ in Swansea Bay, Mumbles and Gower:

  1. The King Arthur Hotel

A family run country pub & restaurant set in the quaint village of Reynoldston, Gower, serving home cooked food ranging from hearty pub classics to delicious locally caught fish and seasonal game. The King Arthur Hotel has an outside seating area where you can enjoy the peaceful setting of the rural countryside whilst enjoying your favourite dish!

  1. Verdi’s

 Verdi’s restaurant specialises in authentic, homemade pizza and pasta dishes along with up to 30 different flavours of award winning Fresh Cream Italian Ice Cream, homemade breads, cakes, scones, pastries, semifreddi and desserts. Located in Mumbles, you can dine overlooking the beautiful five mile sweep of Swansea Bay.

A superb beach-front dining experience in a secluded spot overlooking the beautiful Langland Bay. Langland’s Brasserie is an award-winning restaurant serving breakfast, coffee, cakes, lunches and dinner. Seafood is a speciality with fresh fish served daily and a tapas menu available in the bar area.

  1. Swigg

 A vibrant restaurant/ tapas bar situated in heart of Swansea Marina, the team at The Swigg have crafted a menu that provides a unique taste of Wales alongside some of their favourites dishes from around the world, served on small plates.

  1. Bistrot Pierre

A seafront restaurant in Mumbles with panoramic views of the beautiful Swansea Bay, Bistrot Pierre combines French bistrot classics such as steak-frites, boeuf bourguignon and crème brulee with their own take on regional favourites.

  1. Nomad Bar & Kitchen

 Tuck into yummy homemade cakes (made from secret recipes!) just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Three Cliffs Bay. In the evening, visit The Cliff Restaurant/Y Clogwyn and enjoy great food made from scratch using the best of locally sourced ingredients including Penclawdd Cockles and Laverbread.

  1. Kings Head Inn

 Serving Gower Beer Battered fish and local fresh meats, the Kings Head Inn is a 17th century Inn set in the heart of the Gower Peninsula, near Rhossili. They also have their own brewery and the bar also boasts possibly one of the largest collection of malt whiskies outside Scotland (with over 100 available).

  1. Parc le Breos Restaurant

Sit back and relax on the terrace and enjoy a tasty meal overlooking the extensive gardens at Parc le Breos. They use the freshest high quality local produce with many of the herbs, salad leaves, fruit and vegetables grown in their kitchen garden. Afternoon Tea is also a firm favourite here with delicious homemade treats and Welsh Brew tea.

Discover Coast Café, an independent coffee shop and wine bar in SA1, serving high quality barista coffee, freshly made food and a wide variety of wines & beers. A large outdoor area offers stunning views over an area of the Marina not normally seen and with this section still home to working trawler boats it has its own individual charm.
