Coordinated by Disability Sport Wales and delivered by local insport Clubs and National Governing Bodies of Sport, the insport series event will provide disabled children, young people and adults the opportunity to take part in over 20 sports from athletics to wheelchair rugby. Entry is free and registration is now open.
World Triathlon Para Series Swansea on Saturday July 15 will bring some of the best paratriathletes in the world, competing in swim, bike, run, with the SA1 Waterfront providing a hub setting for all the action.
This year’s event is part of a three-year commitment to host a World Triathlon Para Series race in Swansea through to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea will make its debut on Sunday, July 16, with a middle-distance swim, bike, run event. IRONMAN 70.3 event will see thousands of athletes enjoy the outstanding natural beauty and dramatic coastal landscapes of scenic South Wales.
Starting with a 1.2-mile swim at Prince of Wales Dock, athletes will undertake a 56-mile bike ride along the sweeping waterfront of Swansea Bay, through Mumbles, and across the hills of the Gower before completing a 13.1-mile seaside run. With an epic festival finish in Museum Park, athletes will race down the iconic red carpet to receive the first IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea medals.
To ensure the safety and the best possible experience for everybody, there will be a series of road closures for the Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July and we hope that you will come along, cheer on these athletes and really enjoy the spectacular atmosphere these sports will bring.
