It’s time to get excited as we have plenty of great events for you to look forward to enjoying in Swansea Bay this February! 

Croeso in association with First Cymru

Our annual Croeso festival takes place over four days from Thursday, February 29, featuring live musiccookery demonstrationsfamily entertainment and a St David’s Day celebration parade led by the City of Swansea Pipe Band.

Croeso takes place at a range of venues around the city centre, including the Brangwyn Hall and Swansea Arena which are both set to offer memorable music events in top quality indoor settings.

Cookery demonstrations will take place in the city centre from 1 – 3 March, including TV cookery legend Rustie Lee, who will be cooking up a storm with a Welsh twist! Other headline chefs include Hywel Griffith of the Beach house, Oxwich and Tom Surgey who will be demonstrating cocktails featuring Welsh ingredients!

The weekend’s activities don’t stop there, in St David’s Place you’ll find children’s shows, walk-about acts, characters, crafts and a trail around the city with goody bags on offer for those who complete it.

Confirmed live music acts include the Phoenix Choir of Wales and renowned Welsh music acts Gwilym, Islet, Angel Hotel and Eädyth.

Welsh bands will also feature in the Nightworks night-time entertainment element of the event at The Bunkhouse, Elysium and Tŷ Tawe.

Local businesses are invited to showcase their produce and be a part of the fun as a Food and Drink trader. Applications can be made online. You won’t want to miss it!

Swansea Museum

Have a Wildlife Adventure at Swansea Museum from Friday, February 9 to Sunday, February 18.

Swansea Museum will be taking part in the ‘Twitcher Museum Adventure’, organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books. This national trail is to celebrate the publication of ‘Feather’, the final book in the Twitcher series.

On Thursday, February 15 from 10am to 12pm, join in at a butterfly kite making workshop.  Make a colourful kite to fly on a windy day! Free for all ages and no need to book.

And don’t forget to pick up your free Explorer Pack which is stuffed with games, colouring sheets, and a craft to make at home.
