Free Fun and fitness in your local park with the Sport and Health Team

This summer is set to be a great one in Swansea, and we are very lucky to be blessed with over 50 beautiful parks and gardens, many of which are on our doorstep.

Whether you want to enjoy them with family and friends to do some outdoor activities (check out lots of fun ideas from our very own Sport & Health team www.facebook.com/SportAndHealthSwansea), or whether you want to take a casual stroll and admire the beauty of the colourful flower beds you can find one suitable for you at www.swansea.gov.uk/parksatoz

We also have flat / accessible routes, and four of our parks have been awarded Green Flag status, think of Victoria Park, Cwmdonkin Park and Brynmill in the city centre or Llewellyn Park in the East.

There really is something for everyone in Swansea’s beautiful parks and gardens, and not forgetting our Swansea Prom!

As you can see from the video, there really is so much fun to enjoy in our beautiful parks, so whether you want to explore the woodland in Singleton Park like William and make your own obstacle course, get your steps in with your dog (Winston and Preedie love Ravenhill Park!), practice your football skills like our pro Adam, puddle jumping like Charlie, make a heart out of some leaves and twigs like Elouise and Rhys or try to juggle with some acorns like Ania, who learnt her skill with apples and rolled up socks!

Whatever fun you decide to have, we’d love to see your photos and videos. Make sure you tag us on social media using the hashtag #EnjoySwansea, and have a great summer of fun!
