What better way to kick off 2026 than by setting your sights on the Swansea Bay 10k, which returns on Sunday 20 September 2026 

Last year’s event sold out completely, so don’t miss your chance to take part. Entries are now open, with an early bird deal available for a limited time – the perfect incentive to secure your place before the rush.

Independent Venue Week at Tŷ Tawe 

Celebrate Independent Venue Week with two exciting folk gigs at Swansea's Welsh-language, Arts, and Community Centre – Tŷ Tawe.

On Friday 30 January, join Cardiff-based musician, former winner of both the Welsh Language Album of the Year and the Welsh Music Prize, The Gentle Good. Known for his enchanting melodies, intricate guitar style and beautiful acoustic arrangements, his new album Elan is a psychedelic portrait of the Elan Valley in Powys, exploring the landscapes history and politics. The Gentle Good is supported by Bethan Nia.

Eve Goodman and SERA

Finish the month on a high, celebrating the release of North Wales based singer-songwriters Eve Goodman and SERA’s long-awaited collaborative Welsh album Natur on Saturday 31 January, a hymn of love to the cyclical element of women and nature. The album is a rich and varied journey from percussive, hooky ear-worms about burnout and modern life (Anian), to expansive and moving Celtic blessings that sing of reverence for the land (Bendith). Experience living history – join the Gower Wassail 

Centre this January, when the popular attraction presents the Gower Wassail. 

Join in the celebrations of local heritage to bless the orchard for a fruitful year ahead with torch-lit processions, folk music, Morris-dancing, the historic Mari Lwyd, and, of course, wassailing.
