Everyone is Welcome at Race For Life Swansea!
People are being invited to step into spring by signing up for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Swansea. The charity’s much-loved events, which raise funds for life-saving research, are returning to the city!
The Race for Life events take place at Singleton Park and Museum Park and are open to all ages and abilities. On Saturday May 17, there is a chance to take part in Pretty Muddy, a 5k mud-splattered obstacle course, and there’s a Pretty Muddy Kids option for children aged 6 to 12. That's not all! Sunday May 18, people can choose from 5k and 10k events.
Anyone who joins between Monday March 17 and Sunday April 6 can claim 30% off the entry fee as part of a special sale by using the code 25SPRING.
Money raised at Race for Life enables scientists to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer – to bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.

Celebrating Women's History Month in Swansea
One of Swansea’s most accomplished novelists and businesswomen has been given a new honour in the city. A purple plaque has been installed in honour of Amy Dillwyn in the park that bears her name next to Swansea Arena. Wales’ Purple Plaques campaign recognises remarkable women, commemorates their achievements, and cements their legacy in Welsh history.
The plaque was unveiled to mark International Women’s Day - a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
